Bill Permar
Bill Permar has over 35 years of experience working with small businesses and individuals in managing their financial concerns. Bill received a BA in Accounting from the University of Maryland in 1972. Two years later he passed the CPA exam in Maryland. Bill has worked both in public accounting and private business. He was the Treasurer/CFO of the California Wine Association, a chain of women's boutique stores, an insurance company and other firms. Since 1970, Bill has had hands on experience with computer accounting. He purchased the IBM PC the first month it was sold and has been a regular user of Quicken and QuickBooks since the first versions.
Bill is an avid sailor, racing in three transpacs to Hawaii and at least 50 times around the Farallon Islands. Bill's first office in Marin was in Sausalito. He married and moved to San Anselmo in 1988 and then moved his accounting practice from Sausalito in 2000.
Bill is active in the local community. He was the treasurer of the Wade Thomas Parent Association for six years, directed the lunch intramural sports program at White Hill and was a member of the Drake leadership council. He is a member of several community organizations: the Ross Valley Rotary (past community service board chair), the San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce, and the American Legion Post 179 (past Adjunt and Finance Officer). He was a deacon for and is a current member of the finance committee for the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo.

Adrienne Hale
Adrienne Hale has extensive tax preparation experience and became an Enrolled Agent (Enrolled To Practice Before the IRS "EA") in 1986. Her career began with H&R Block in 1965 and continued until 1978 at which time Adrienne went to work for Bob Hines on San Anselmo Avenue. She and Bob Grib bought out Mr. Hines and then Adrienne bought out Mr. Grib in 1982. She was the sole owner of the practice until 2002 when she sold it to Bill Permar. Adrienne is still in practice today with Mr. Permar. In addition to working with Permar & Company, Adrienne is the secretary of San Anselmo Auto Body, Inc. which is owned and operated by her son.
Aside from tax preparation, Adrienne has served on the San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce, the board of the Robson-Harrington House Association, as treasurer of the Charlie Prandi for Sheriff campaign and on the Paul Chignell for Assembly campaign. She frequently travels to Arizona and Italy.
Whitney Bardwick
Whitney earned a dual BA in Finance and Real Estate from Southern Methodist University in 1989. After graduating, she worked for eleven years as a banker with NationsBank and Bank of America assisting entrepreneurs with their business' financial needs. Nine years ago, she “retired” to become a mom. Her two children, Grace and Josh, are in elementary school at
Marin
Montessori
School, so she began working with Permar & Company in January, 2009. She primarily assists clients with their bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax needs. Whitney and her family have lived in the Bay Area since 1998.
